Location: 14 Conveying Systems / This is a hydraulic residential elevator based on a product line of a real company. Since I don't know how they feel about me 'using' their 'IP', I'm not saying who it is at this time. You could probably figure it out. Because it's a real product line, there are limited size and configuration
The user has requirements. The software has capabilities. Where the capabilities end and the requirements keep going is a limit. To get beyond the limit requires workarounds. Some limits are harder than others and all we can do is wish (beg) them removed. Here's a rich example concerning structural posts (columns) in residential construction. These are things like 4x4s, multiple
In Archicad 10, sections can automatically show story level markers and lines. They are feature-limited but I think they're worth using.
Everything in Stair Body JM9a still applies. Major feature added: You can choose to have the stair cut by the Floor Plan Cut Plane. Recommended. With the 'Auto' cut setting, you can choose to show a Cut Fill instead of the cut line. This will show the true cut thickness of the stair, similar to the roof element behavior. Minor

Now you can go back and forth between the basement and first floor, e.g., while always keeping the other story in sight. Here's a somewhat lateral tip. Use previous
1. Duplicate the zTemplate 10 folder and rename it with the project name. To duplicate a folder, drag and drop it within the same window while holding down the Option key. Name the folder after the client. If this is a second, or later, project, add a number. (Please don't use roman numerals, they are hard to read.) If it's
Update for AC10: This story has been deleted from the templates. The new schedules in 10 can be placed as drawings, so the Schedules story isn't needed. No, it's not every day we have a new story. It's also our first non-building story. I believe strongly in the building analogy of the AC project file, so I don't generally approve
